Si se presenta una disminuci\u00f3n del peso corporal sin embargo no se ha encontrado que sea m\u00e1s efectivo que un plan nutricional balanceado con horarios m\u00e1s amplios. Ha habido muchos casos de constipaci\u00f3n, deshidrataci\u00f3n, debilidad y cambios bruscos de glucosa. Se ha encontrado que existe una disminuci\u00f3n del gasto energ\u00e9tico en reposo. A\u00fan se requiere de mayor informaci\u00f3n sobre este tema. Pero si tiene el mismo efecto en la disminuci\u00f3n del peso que la educaci\u00f3n nutricional, no es necesario someter a nuestro organismo a un r\u00e9gimen \u201cno natural\u201d con ciertas consecuencias, para obtener los mismos resultados.<\/p>\n<p>El hambre y la saciedad est\u00e1n controlados por hormonas (grelina, insulina, leptina, neurop\u00e9ptido Y, insulina, colecistocinina, serotonina, glucag\u00f3n, etc) secretadas por el est\u00f3mago, p\u00e1ncreas, tejido adiposo, cerebro entre otros, llegando al hipot\u00e1lamo en donde se indica el nivel de nutrientes existentes y el nivel de glucosa circulante (homeostasis energ\u00e9tica). Si forzamos a un ayuno intermitente en donde se ignoran los periodos de hambre y saciedad y se reemplazan por horas de consumo o no consumo, se altera la homeostasis energ\u00e9tica normal.
